Location and climate

Aix-en-province is situated in France, and the city gently slopes from the north to the south. The city is located at the southern part of France which gives it a little warmer climate. In has on an average July temperature of 22’C and the January temperature ranges in between 5’C. On an average the city has 300 sunshine and 91 rainy days.

Major attractions of the city

There are many attractive places in the city. Some of the places that draw the attraction of the people from round the world are:

The Cours Mirabeau: This is a place which is in the form of a wide main road. The place has been provided with double rows of plane trees and the various houses which have been decorated with fountains are the main attractions of the place. The road follows to the old city wall making two sections if the city. One part of the city is called as the new city which extends from the south and till the west. The other side is called the old city which is full of wide but unorganized roads.

The cathedral: This place is situated in the northern part of the old city. Built near an ancient roman temple which dates back to the 11th century, the place is the best place full of many architectural works.

The city is also the place where the second most popular Appeal Court is located. It is situated near Palace of the Princess.
